In an effort to help members increase their overall fitness to improve durability, the Avondale Estates Swim and Tennis Club began offering on-court TRX Suspension Training classes to all levels of tennis players.
Help members develop functional strength and durability in order to get more out of their match play, as well as create a revenue stream from a newly offered cross training option. Healthy members play more tennis and more court time means more revenue for the club.
Integrating TRX Suspension Training into on-court training with fee-based, hour-long group training sessions, each with a different emphasis (strength, cardio conditioning, flexibility, etc).
Within six weeks of launching its TRX Training program, ASTC had recouped its initial investment. The club originally purchased 24 TRX Suspension Trainers and invested in educating their two tennis pros (approximate total cost $4,500). With an average weekly gross revenue of $840 within six weeks of program commencement, ASTC made $5,040 in six weeks. Beyond the financial benefit, the ASTC was able to provide members with a new, exciting, on-court functional fitness option that helped to strengthen current relationships and build new ones.
