Q: How much is the course and what is included?
All of our 1-day, 8-hour TRX Professional Education Courses are $250, except for the Level 2 - Sports Medicine Suspension Training course which is $325. All courses include:

Q: How do I receive my Continuing Education Credits (CECs) and Certificate of Completion?
Upon completion of a TRX® Professional Education Course, you will receive an electronic version of your Certificate of Completion, which can be printed for your records and redeemed for CECs


Q: Will I be certified by TRX if I take a course?
At the end of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion from Fitness Anywhere, LLC which recognizes your ability to apply the knowledge and newly learned skills into your role as a fitness professional.


Q: What are the differences between a TRX® Sports Medicine™ Suspension Training Course (SMSTC), TRX® Suspension Training Course (STC), TRX® Group Suspension Training Course (GSTC) and TRX Rip Training Course (RTC), and what is a typical course day like?

TRX Suspension Training Course (Level 1)

Designed by experts for the fitness professional who wants to harness the full potential of the TRX® Suspension Trainer, this course teaches you how to incorporate the TRX® into your clients’ programs and how to grow your training business. In this class you’ll learn over 70 TRX® exercises, in detail, as well as all the benefits and target muscles of the exercises; how to properly perform and "cue" the exercise; and modifications and progressions to adapt the exercises to every fitness level. You’ll also learn how to design your own TRX® programs by following suspension training principles, using smart TRX® exercise selection, and studying case scenarios to challenge your knowledge.

TRX Group Suspension Training Course (Level 1)

In this class you’ll learn how to teach TRX® Suspension Training in a small, large, or boot camp-style group format. Importantly, this class will help you create fun and innovative classes adaptable to all fitness levels. You’ll not only learn TRX® suspension training fundamentals, but how to incorporate a range of TRX® strength and flexibility exercises into a group training format. In this class you’ll analyze two workout formats and learn how to perform and properly "cue" the exercise; how to adapt exercises to all fitness levels with modifications and progressions; and how to identify common faults. Plus, you’ll receive workout templates that will enable you to create your own TRX® workouts, according to TRX® teaching guidelines and program design principles. When you’re finished with the TRX Group Suspension Training Course, you’ll be armed with lots of practical ideas on how to set up your group class and launch your own TRX® Group Program!

TRX Sports Medicine Suspension Training Course (Level 2)

This course takes your TRX® Suspension Training® bodyweight exercise education to the next level. You’ll learn how to incorporate the TRX Suspension Trainer™ as part of individualized or group therapy, post-rehabilitation, prevention, and fitness programs. As a Level 2 course, it requires that you have taken a TRX Suspension Training Course (STC) or a TRX Group Suspension Training Course (GSTC) previously or be a licensed healthcare professional (ATC, DC, PT, OT, MD, PTA).

Utilizing an interactive, small group format you will utilize case scenarios of common injuries to design and demonstrate a therapeutic or preventative exercise program designed for the rehabilitation or prevention of musculoskeletal injuries. You’ll also learn how you can maximize the space in your clinic or support your patients during their rehabilitation by enabling them to perform efficient exercise programs at home or on the road. By the completion of this course you will ready to incorporate TRX Training into an exercise program to all ability levels and phases of rehabilitation.

TRX Rip™ Training Course (Level 1)

This course provides you with the essential knowledge and skills to train with the Rip Trainer. You’ll learn to safely and effectively instruct and cue others on the Rip Trainer as well as be able to clearly articulate the science and benefits behind Rip Training. Whether your focus is on general fitness, sports performance or injury prevention, you’ll learn how to effectively integrate Rip Training into your client programs.


Q: If I am a healthcare professional what is the pre-work required for the Level 2 Sports Medicine Suspension Training Course?
If you register for the course and have not taken our STC or GSTC you will be required to complete some pre-work before the Sports Medicine course. You will receive an email with a link to download a Sports Medicine Suspension Training Study Guide. Completing the study guide will take approximately an hour. Before the course you are expected to know the following basics of TRX Suspension Training: 6 basic body positions, 6 procedures, 3 principles of progressions, 6 TRX sins, components of a TRX Suspension Trainer and set-up and anchoring.


Q: How do I receive pre-work for the Sports Medicine Suspension Training Course?
After registering for the Sports Medicine Course, you will receive an email with a link to download a Sports Medicine Suspension Training Study Guide. Completing the study guide will take approximately an hour.     • Ten sturdy attachment points, 4-5 feet in height, each with 6 feet width and 16 feet long of workout space. 30 by 30 room minimum (Rip Training Courses).
    • Space large enough to accommodate 16 to 20 attendees comfortably.
    • Proximity to a major city.
    • Space is quiet, comfortable and conducive to learning.
    • Facility available on a Sunday or Saturday for approximately 9 hours (e.g., 8:30 am to 5:30 pm).
    • Sufficient parking and/or public transportation available.
    • At least one staff member to assist on the day of the course.
    • Willingness to partner and work with TRX to create a successful and educational experience for everyone.
    • Facility owns at least 10 TRX Suspension Trainers or Rip Trainers that can be used for the course.

Q: Do I need to bring a TRX® Suspension Trainer or Rip Trainer to the course?
No. TRX® Suspension Trainers and/or Rip Trainers are provided for the course. Attendees should bring a water bottle, towel, extra shirt, lunch, and snacks.


Q: Can I attend TRX® courses if I’m not a healthcare or fitness professional?
Yes. The courses are designed to teach all attendees how to effectively train themselves and others on the TRX®. Although the additional knowledge is beneficial, the TRX® course is not limited to a specific profession. The TRX Sports Medicine course is a Level 2 course and requires that an attendee have taken our STC or GSTC or be a licensed healthcare professional (ATC, DC, PT, OT, MD, PTA).


Q: Can I earn Continuing Education Credit from TRX® Professional Education Courses?
Yes. Fitness professionals can earn CECs with the completion of a TRX Professional Education Course from the following organizations (list varies from course to course):

Q: If I have already taken a TRX® Professional Education Course, can I get a discount on one of the others?

Q: How do I become a TRX Professional Education Course Instructor?
TRX has an extensive instructor development process to uphold the quality of our education. The first step is to fill out an instructor application form (resume’s will not be accepted).

The applicant must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Has attended a one-day, 8-hour TRX Professional Education Course
  • Proven leader in the fitness industry (conference presenting, published articles, DVD titles)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field. For the SMSTC, licensed healthcare practitioner or Masters Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field and experience in a clinical or post-rehab environment
  • Current National Certification (s) (e.g., ACE, NASM, NSCA etc.)
  • 2-3 years of presentation experience
  • 6-8 years experience in one or more of the following areas: fitness presentation, physical therapy, strength & conditioning coaching, group fitness or personal training.
  • Contact us at education@trxtraining.com to receive an instructor application to submit for consideration. These applications will be ranked by presentation and industry experience, as well as TRX knowledge, and company need.


Q: What if I can’t find a course in my area?
TRX partners with fitness facilities to provide courses throughout North America, as well as to expand education overseas. If you do not see a course in your area, continue to check the TRX website or consider hosting a course at your facility.


Q: What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Course registration fees are non-refundable. However, if for any reason TRX cancels the course, registrants will receive a complete refund. Requests to change registration from one course to another must be made at least 14 days before the course date to TRX by e-mail at education@trxtraining.com. Requests made later than that are subject to a $100 rescheduling fee. Registrants may assign their course slot to another student for a $50 change fee.

Yes. We have many International Education Distributors who have TRX-approved Course Instructors and Course Materials to deliver the same best-in-class education worldwide. To find an International course, contact the local TRX Distributor so that they can direct you to a list of upcoming courses.

As the Director of Training and Development for Fitness Anywhere Inc., Fraser Quelch is a pioneer in Suspension Training, the newest category of functional exercise. Known as an innovator in the industry, his high energy, dynamic, and entertaining style can motivate and inspire any audience.

Fraser has been published in over 20 articles, presented extensively throughout the world, and is the face of Fitness Anywhere DVDs and online content. He is a certified strength and conditioning coach with the NSCA and is the founder of the successful personal training and coaching business, Storm Training Systems. He is also a Fellow of applied functional science with the Gray Institute of Functional Training. Dr. Joe Martin

Dr. Martin’s commitment to fitness started back in 1978 when he joined the US Navy and shortly after successfully completed the Navy’s SEAL Team training. Joe got his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, with a minor in Nutrition at Temple University, followed by a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine. Dr. Martin is international lecturer and a faculty member of Life Chiropractic College - West, where he has earned numerous awards for Faculty Doctor of the Year. As a Member of the Fitness Anywhere team, Dr. Martin works in a dual capacity. He is the Manager for Navy and Coast Guard Sales, with the TRX® Force Training System, as well as a Certified Functional, Suspension Training Instructor (recognized by ACE, NSCM, and NASM). Armed with a quiver of clever one-liners, Joe can make your abs hurt more than the suspended crunch.

Chris Frankel
Chris Frankel

As the resident TRX Professor, Chris Frankel draws from over 25 years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach. He earned an MS in Exercise Physiology from the University of New Mexico, where he is currently completing his doctorate in Exercise Science. Before taking the position of Director of Programming at Fitness Anywhere, Chris was an instructor in the Department of Health, Exercise and Sport Sciences at the University of New Mexico.

Chris’ professional goals are to combine education, research and training methodologies to improve human performance for individuals of all ability levels and to disseminate cutting edge programs to clients, elite athletes, students and other professionals. He brings a unique combination of academic, applied, research, training and competition experiences. Chris believes the variables impacting human performance can be analyzed individually but must be trained with the “whole” athlete in mind to achieve an optimal best practices approach. His areas of study and practice are assessment, oxygen kinetics, anaerobic metabolism, movement analysis and "training the trainer" strategies and tactics.

As a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Brian has worked with people in managing disease or disability for over 15 years, in addition to coaching Olympic style Weightlifting, training athletes and at one point a part-time lecturer at San Jose State University. Brian earned his BS in Exercise Science from The Ohio State University, and MA in Kinesiology from San Jose State University, and an MS in Management from Stanford Graduate School of Business. In his current role as Director of the Rehabilitation Segment for Fitness Anywhere, Brian is sharing the benefits of Suspension Training in the rehabilitation and prevention of musculoskeletal injuries or disabilities.

Dan’s passion and advocacy for fitness began in 1995. This passion and advocacy had taken him around the globe delivering classes, programs, workshops and seminars for thousands of fitness professionals, educators and enthusiasts. Since 1995 Dan has founded 2 successful Health and Fitness businesses – Fit4Play Fitness Inc. and Inner Chi Personal Training Studios. In 2008, Dan was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 15 Most Influencial Personal Trainers. He has represented and been a spokesperson for Nike, EAS and Fitter International. Since 2005 he has played several key roles for world leaders in group fitness formula’s Les Mills International. These roles include Program Director, Program Coach and International Master Trainer/ Presenter for RPM™ Indoor Cycling and BodyBalance/Flow™. Most recently he has joined the Fitness Anywhere team, the creators of the TRX – the original body weight suspension training tool.

As the Director of Education for Fitness Anywhere, "Kimpossible" draws from years of experience as an educator, fitness professional, and coach. She has helped develop and improve the TRX Professional Education Course offerings which since 2006 have taught over 30,000 fitness professionals, strength and conditioning coaches, military and physical therapists world-wide about TRX® Suspension Training®.

Kim graduated with a BA in Communications and Education from UC Davis and received an MA in Sports Management from the University of San Francisco. She holds a number of training certifications in Personal Training, Group and Lifestyle Coaching. She founded a successful fitness boot camp in 2005, where she used innovative training techniques to help clients of all fitness levels achieve their goals. She has coached soccer for youth ages 5-18 and played herself at the Division 2 level as well as semi-professionally in England and Spain. In 2007, she joined the Fitness Anywhere Education team and never looked back. "I knew it was my calling." Anything is possible, but is it Kimpossible?

Hayley is a personal trainer, educator, and co-owner of Advanced Training Performance an elite personal training company in Las Vegas, NV. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from University of Nevada Las Vegas. Her drive for education, motivated her to get many fitness certifications from ACE, NASM, AFAA, Yogafit RYT-200, Pilates Coach, and USA Weightlifting. Hayley loves teaching yoga, and outdoor bootcamp classes with the TRX®. Neil is a personal trainer and educator with over ten years in the fitness industry. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Sports Medicine from the University of Maryland. Continuing his education and personal growth he has earned multiple fitness certifications from the NSCA (CSCS), NASM (CPT and OPT) and the NASN (Certified Nutrition Counselor). He is also a Certified Spinning Instructor through Mad Dogg Spinning. Neil represents and teaches for EFI Sports Medicine and Fitness Anywhere as a Master Trainer. Irene McCormick, M.S. is an international presenter, author, and 25-year fitness veteran. She holds a master’s degree in exercise and sport science from Iowa State University. With more than 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, Renae currently is the owner of McCloud Fitness, a personal training and Pilates studio. She also teaches group classes at a local club. Renae believes fitness and wellness is a lifestyle and lives by example. A lifelong competitive athlete, Renae currently enjoys mountain biking and hiking and has been known to leap tall buildings in a single bound.

Mary Lou has a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and Sports Medicine/Physical Therapy from Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles, California, where she had a full ride scholarship in Volleyball as a defensive specialist. She functioned as an understudy in several sports related research projects at the University of Southern California and Christian Heritage College in San Diego./p>

She was a practicing Physical Therapist in San Diego from 1996-99 before her passion for fitness drew her full time into the fitness industry. During this transition she worked as an Athletic Trainer with the UCLA Basketball team and USC Trojans baseball pitchers.

She has worked as a Group Fitness Manager for Pure Fitness and Frogs, General Manager for Pure Fitness, and Regional Pilates Consultant for Crunch Fitness. She has presented internationally in Canada, Spain, Mexico City, the UK, and Japan for Pilates, and EFI Sports Medicine-Gravity Group and Pilates education. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

She currently has certifications with ACE, AFAA, and NASM, and extensive experience teaching indoor cycling, Mat Pilates, Pilates Reformer, and BOSU ball training. She maintains a number of personal clients for sports conditioning and corrective/functional exercise.

Lynne Virant is personal trainer and group fitness instructor whose passion for health and fitness is as varied as her education and experience. She has a degree in Aerospace Engineering and in Allied Health as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Her experience in sports and fitness includes five marathons, climbing Mount Baker, tennis, golf, volleyball, skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking and fitness competitions. Now a relatively new mom, she has learned firsthand the challenges of making fitness a priority.

Brandon was born and raised into the Fitness world. Anatomy lessons took the place of bedtime stories under his mother’s tutelage, fueling his passion toward athletics and sports conditioning. His drive to excel in sports also contributed to his pursuits in the fitness community. For ten years, Brandon was the most requested trainer at Canyon Ranch, one of the world’s premier health and wellness resorts. His clients ranged from businessmen, athletes, and celebrities alike, including training Gerard Butler for the movie 300. During his tenure there, he not only worked one on one with clients, but also designed and implemented group classes and served as the residential Fitness expert, providing educational lectures to guests on Fitness related subjects.

He is a certified personal trainer through NASM and AFAA as well as a certified group trainer through AFAA. He provides professional education on the TRX® as a Master Trainer for Fitness Anywhere; he is also a certified Schwinn Indoor Cycling instructor, and trade show speaker for TechnoGym. With 17 years of experience, she has covered all avenues of fitness with a major focus on core training, instructors training and choreography work. Michelle is a Can-Fit-Pro certified fitness instructor, personal trainer and program director, Bender Ball master trainer, TRX Master Trainer and holds 10 years of experience in fitness programming. Michelle is the host of two dvds and has a passion for keeping her members motivated and energized is apparent in her fun and innovative classes.

Susane Pata
Susane Pata

Fitness Anywhere’s Senior Master Trainer, Susane Pata, became a TRX® Suspension Trainer® aficionado right from the start. She began working for Fitness Anywhere in 2005 to develop the company’s first–ever group fitness program. After completing a successful group program initiative at both Krav Maga and Crunch Fitness in San Francisco (which later spread nationwide), she joined the company’s Education Department with Director Fraser Quelch and helped the company increase its education business from 34 education courses per year to approximately 106 courses–all in the span of one year. Susane also helped the company open its first Suspension Training® group training studio in San Francisco, dedicated to bringing various group formats of TRX® training to all fitness levels.

Susane has had much experience training a wide variety of fitness levels from very athletic triathletes, to those suffering from wheelchair polio and common ailments such as knee– or back–injured individuals. She has also had tremendous experience in teaching group fitness formats geared toward core strength and cardiovascular endurance. She attributes her success in these areas to learning from the best, and putting in above–and–beyond hard work to make her sessions and classes serve as effective and fun experiences for all those with whom she comes in contact.

Susane currently conducts Suspension Training® courses for both group fitness instructors and personal trainers, and is also trained to conduct Fitness Anywhere’s new R4 Program. She travels with the company to assist with the development and training of new course instructors both in the United States and worldwide.

Having lived in San Francisco for 10 years, Susane currently moved to be closer to her New Jersey roots and family, and to pursue a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.

Jules is certified with The Physical Mind Institute in Pilates and also serves as a Bosu & Gliding Master Trainer. She, her husband and three children reside in Temple, Texas.

Paul Knapp has worked for the United States Military for over 15 years as an exercise physiologist and public health educator. Always looking for new ways to train our sailors and soldiers, Paul stumbled upon the TRX®, and has taken his creative workout regimens to new heights. Paul holds various honors and awards, including the one he treasures the most, the Meritorious Civilian Service Award from the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Command, this award honors his work for providing the most innovative exercise program in the commands history. Paul has presented to large groups ranging from 80 to 100 and can teach you how to keep your TRX® training regimen new and exciting.

Arthur Hsu

Arthur Hsu is a personal trainer and educator with over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry. He resides in Las Vegas, NV, where he co-owns a personal training company called Advanced Training Performance (ATP). He is a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM (OPT, PES, PTA, SFS) and a Certified Group Fitness Instructor through AFAA. Arthur is also a certified Yoga instructor through Yogafit, a USA Weightlifting Coach for Sports Performance, and is a graduate of the Nevada School of Massage Therapy. As a presenter for Fitness Anywhere, Arthur wants to share his passion, knowledge, and creativity for Suspension Training on the TRX Suspension Trainer. Shana Martin
Shana Martin

Fitness expert, world champion lumberjack athlete, national spokesperson, fitness competitor, gymnast, pole vaulter, runner...the list goes on and on. A born and raised Badger, Shana graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Kinesiology – Exercise Science. She is the current fitness director at Supreme Health and Fitness in Madison, and also does personal training and teaches group exercise. Her love for sports and fitness began at a very early age when she became a competitive gymnast. She still maintains her gymnastics skills through fitness competitions such as Fitness America, Ms. Fitness, and Women’s Tri Fitness. Through these fitness competitions, she has had the opportunity to model for Muscle and Fitness, Flex, and Oxygen magazines. She is the head coach of Team Supreme Figure and Fitness, helping other women achieve their goals of looking fit and healthy on stage.

Her biggest claim to fame is being the 3 time WORLD champion women’s professional log roller and boom runner. Shana has been featured on ESPN, ABC Wide World of Sports, and the Outdoor Life Network competing in lumberjack events.

Shana was introduced to the TRX at the Club Industry Fitness Convention in Chicago after winning the Atomic Push-up challenge. Since then she has been using the TRX for every one of her clients every single day. She also credits her sports success and fast rehabilitation after reconstructive knee surgery to the TRX.

Suzette O’Byrne started working as an educator, instructor and manager in the health and fitness industry in 1989. In addition to being the owner of a successful yoga therapy and personal training business, Suzette is a Master Trainer with Keiser Corporation and a TRX Instructor with Fitness Anywhere. She travels extensively, teaching at conferences, workshops and teacher training programs throughout North America. Suzette is a faculty member and advisory committee chair with Mount Royal University’s Yoga Therapy Program in Calgary, Alberta and is the author of the book Yoga for the Core: Finding Stability in an Unstable Environment.

Casey Stutzman is an AFAA certified trainer and has been actively involved in the fitness industry since 2004. Since 2006 he has acted as the Head Trainer at the Bay Athletic Club in Alpena Michigan. Casey’s love of athletics and competition drove him in to the fitness industry. He uses his experience as a division 1 college football player, amateur bodybuilding competitor, strongman competitor to help other reach their goals in all areas of fitness. Casey spends his time at Bay Athletic Club teaching Boot Camps, small group training sessions, training clients and working with participants in Bay Athletic Club’s Corporate Fit Challenge program. As a Combine 360 certified trainer Casey develops strength and conditioning programs and does performance training for a number of local athletic organizations and high school teams. In the fall Casey enjoys spending his Friday nights under the lights at Alpena High School where we coaches the defensive linemen for the Wildcat football team. He enjoys spending free time with his wife Mary Beth, his daughter Vesper and Turkish the family dog.

Derek enjoys a full time career in fitness. Whether it’s teaching TRX classes at Witzlib Fitness Studio in Atlanta or racing for the Peachtree Bikes cycling team, fitness plays a role in most areas of Derek’s life. He spends time on the road as a TRX® Course Instructor for Fitness Anywhere® and enjoys educating trainers on the many benefits of the TRX®. In addition, Derek also travels as a National Trainer/Presenter for Les Mills International’s weight training and cycling programs. Debbie Bellenger

Debbie Bellenger is the Director of Health Directions at Lexington Medical Center. She oversees the entire operation for two hospital wellness centers, the employee wellness programs for 5500 employees and corporate wellness programs offered by her team. She is a world class presenter and has presented at many international conventions. She most recently placed in top 3 IDEA Program Director of the Year award category for 2007 and 2008. She has joined the team at Fitness Anywhere as an instructor.

Aimee Labrecque
Aimee Labrecque

Aimee Labrecque began her career in health and fitness as the Fitness Director at the White House Athletic Center in Washington, DC. Aimee spent seven years at the White House, designing and implementing fitness and health promotion programs for the employees of the Executive Offices of the President and members of the United States Secret Service. In 2004, Aimee was hired as the Health Promotion Program Manager for the United States Coast Guard creating policy and programs related to health and fitness for active duty members. Seeking to find an exercise modality that could be used on board ships, in confined spaces and focus specifically on core stability and strength, Aimee found Fitness Anywhere, Inc and the TRX® Suspension Trainer.

Aimee has a bachelor of science degree in Health Assessment and Promotion with concentrations in Exercise Science and Public Health from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. She is a certified yoga, pilates, and spinning instructor and tries to incorporate all of the those disciplines in her work designing exercise programs for the military. She is the co-author of "The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Working Out With a Partner" (Alpha Books, 2004) and has presented locally and nationally on various topics related to health and fitness.

Anne Parker, CSCS, is a nationally recognized personal trainer and speaker who motivates, educates and inspires people throughout the US. She is the founder and creator of The Power Method: Empowered Fitness in Denver, CO, where her amazing team focuses on personal training, TRX Suspension Training®, Pilates, yoga, sports performance training and nutrition. She is a national fitness presenter for Fitness Anywhere/TRX Suspension Training® and conducts workshops throughout the US teaching personal trainers the benefits of Suspension Training.

Anne can frequently be seen in the media touting the benefits of healthy living, motivation and fitness. Her most recent appearances include, NBC, CBS, Denver Magazine and The Denver Post.
