What happens when TRX CEO and Inventor Randy Hetrick calls out Saints QB Drew Brees and his trainer Todd Durkin for missing a TRX event? One of the most creative and challenging TRX moves we’ve ever seen.
No, this isn’t photoshopped. Yes, Drew Brees can fly—with the help of his TRX Suspension Trainer, that is.
While Hetrick was in San Diego presenting at the annual Tactical Strength and Conditioning Conference, he started giving his friends Durkin and Brees greef for missing the event. When they shot back a response chiding Hetrick for missing their 9:30am workout where they were “training for greatness,” he asked them for a shot of what “greatness” looked like.
This photo was their response.
Brees tweeted the photo, asking his fans to name the new move. We followed suit, posting it to the TRX Training Facebook page looking for a title suitable for the Super Bowl MVP.
After sifting through more than 1,000, creative fan submissions, like the TRX Levitating Saint, Super Fly and Hail Mary, Brees settled on his favorite: The TRX Flying Breezup.
This move made a quick and big entrance into our TRX Exercise “Hall of Fame,” getting recognition from USA Today and Men’s Health.
