In celebration of our official launch of TRX CORE at IDEA World last week, we also launched our new TRX CORE Challenge. Fitness pros gathered at TRX Booth 439 each day and competed against each other for the highest score.

But for those of you who didn’t make it to Los Angeles for all the fun, we brought in CORE member Todd Durkin from Fitness Quest 10 and trainer to elite athletes like Drew Brees, to show you how to get after the TRX CORE Challenge. Once you’ve mastered it, you can use it to motivate your clients and track their success.

To execute the TRX CORE Challenge, grab both your TRX Suspension Trainer and Rip Trainer and perform each exercise as follows:

TRX Atomic Push-Up: Perform as many reps as possible in 40 seconds. Make sure your chest hits the towel for each rep to count.

Rest 40 seconds.

TRX Low Row: Perform as many reps as possible in 40 seconds. Your feet must be underneath the anchorpoint.

Rest 40 seconds.

Rip 90-Degree Jump Press (right side): Perform as many reps as possible in 40 seconds. Your arms must be straight; your feet must cross the tape (10.5 feet from the anchor point).

Rest 40 seconds.

Rip 90-Degree Jump Press (left side): Perform as many reps as possible in 40 seconds. Your arms must be straight; your feet must cross the tape.

The goal of the TRX CORE Challenge: Do as many reps as possible. Add up your completed reps for each exercise and the cumulative number represents your TRX CORE Challenge score. See how you stack up with fellow TRX CORE members by posting your score to the TRX CORE Forum, and also to Facebook and Twitter (@TRXtraining) using #TRX.

Now, bring it into your small group training class or personal training session for a fun, high-intensity test of strength and endurance.
