One or two words that describe how you approach your personal training/coaching:
What is your main training focus? For yourself and your clients?
For me personally - I’m having so much fun training for OCR (Obstacle Course Racing). Each race is set up to challenge you physically and emotionally. I love that you have to show up prepared for the unknown and that every race is different. For my clients - I train women, ages 45-65. Their focus is feeling ready and prepared for anything the day throws at them. We work on strength, balance, core and mobility.
What is your favorite part of being an Instructor?
Helping my clients reach their goals. I am honored to be a part of their journey in health and wellness. Their success stories fill my heart and keep me coming back every day.
How has TRX Education affected your training?
I truly believe I wouldn’t be the trainer I am today without the education I’ve received from TRX. I’ve had the pleasure of learning from the best instructors in the industry and they push me to be my best, not just with TRX but in everything I do.
What other activities or hobbies do you engage in to step away from “just being a coach?”
I’ve always enjoyed being active and playing sports. When I have downtime, I choose to be out on the trails hiking or mountain biking. Even though it’s “fitness related’ it’s easy for me to “step away from coaching.” I have no problem letting someone else lead the way! As a matter of fact, I love being the student and learning something new.
What’s your favorite quote?:
Jackie Joyner-Kersey said, “Age is no barrier. It’s a limitation you put on your mind.” I am so inspired by my clients. They show up for every session and prove this to me everyday.
