TRX FORCE had a busy three-day stretch in mid March, with appearances at two industry events.
First up, the 2011 Naval Expeditionary Forces Symposium and Expo (NavExFor) took place on March 15-16 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center and was focused on sustainability and energy conservation within the NAVEX community. In keeping with its mission to promote a green lifestyle, TRX FORCE was in attendance to show how TRX Training can increase sailors’ fitness levels while remaining environmentally responsible.
Attendees were eager to grab the TRX Suspension Trainer and experience Suspension Training for themselves. Numerous sailors told stories about using the TRX FORCE Kit while on deployment in Iraq and Afghanistan, with a multitude of resourceful anchoring solutions from vehicles to CONEX Boxes to HESCO barriers. Attendees also participated in the TRX 40/40 Challenge, with some just a few reps away from elite TRX FORCE status. We heard repeatedly about sailors participating in TRX classes at Navy Fitness Centers and even getting their spouses and children hooked on Suspension Training.
Next up for TRX FORCE was the Naval Base Ventura County Health Fair and St. Patrick's Day 5k run, held on March 17 at the BeeFit Wellness Center in Port Hueneme, California. Over 120 military members and their families participated in the TRX 40/40 Challenge (at right). Three participants were able to complete the challenge and walked away with a TRX FORCE Kit. We’d like to extend a special thank you to the Naval Base Ventura County MWR Staff for including TRX in their event.
TRX Suspension Training is becoming the functional training system of choice for units in every branch of the Armed Forces. To find out more, click here.
