It is a must see and do for that fantastic metabolic conditioning program designed for muscular endurance and aerobic conditioning. Outstanding!
What can I say but "Wow!" I have been a long time fan of Fitness Anywhere's products, from their TRX to their fitness DVDs. With every new production the quality in every way goes up and this new edition is no exception! This DVD is the second in their TRX Kettelbell fusion series and if you have worked out to the first one, Conditioning, then I am sure you got a great challenge in doing the workout. This new DVD, Power, offers some new moves and combinations that make this workout as challenging if not more so than it's predecessor. If your new to kettlebells, no problem. There is a Kettlebell clinic on the DVD to get you going in the right direction. Additionally, in the guide book that comes with the DVD you get great pictorial and written directions on how to perform each exercise as well as it progressive movements. This DVD offers something for beginners to advanced exercisers. Because the DVD has three people working out during the training you get to see 3 levels of the exercises demonstrated for you simultaneously. All you have to do is pick the right level for yourself for each exercise. The personalities of both workout leads, Pavel and Chris a great. They not only explain the exercise and coach you through them but they explain why they selected that specific exercise and what it is designed to do for you. It's also fun to catch some of Pavel's straight faced humor during the workout. The workout itself is great. As you move from TRX to Kettelbell you find your entire body getting worked. This workout does not let up. The Kettlebell portions leave you with your heart rate elevated and often breathing heavy. The TRX portions reenforce the muscles used in the Kettlebell exercises so they are being taxed well. This DVD is a great stand alone workout to add to your weekly routine but even better when used in rotation with TRX Kettlebell: Iron Circuit Conditioning. Two big thumbs up from this personal trainer!
I have really loved my TRX trainer and was looking to ramp up the intensity with integration of the kettlebells (KB). But this circuit fell short of what I was expecting. There are only three additional exercises using the KBs added. I felt that this really undersold the value of adding KBs, and the creative talents of TRX. Sorry, but I feel I can put together a better regime through google of KBs and placing the exercise between the regular workout for the suspension trainer. I cannot recommend this as a buy, but should not reflect upon the other DVDs and programs.
The DVD comes with a very nice workout guide and the video is nicely shot in real time for your to follow along. The workout does lack some innovation though, and I expected more use of the kettlebells in combo with the TRX. Despite this, it is still a good workout and I would recommend you give this workout a try.
