TRX Pull-Up Bar - Commercial Partners

The pull-up bar is not welded to the plate so it will be unacceptably loose if you don’t tighten the bolts on the back of the plate prior to mounting it. Even if you tighten the bolts there will still be some play after mounting. I am 220lbs so this action is somewhat expected and would not prompt my 1 star review… Within 1 week of mounting the bar and with minimal use, the coating on the bar has already severely cracked. I could even overlook this if it weren’t for the fact that it drops orange powder dust in your lungs as you pull-up. I am a health conscious person, so inhaling powder and bits of unknown toxicity is a deal breaker.
I purchased TRX pro commercial grade straps to use with the bar. The center bar designed to accommodate the straps has completely degloved. While removing the straps after 1 week of use, black bits from the coating fell in my face and all over the floor.
I recommend purchasing a pull-up bar or Swedish wall of higher quality to mount your TRX straps or rings to vs anchoring them from your ceiling.
On a side note, the pull-up bar was screwed into wood studs above a large open double door frame. The pull-up bar plate will also crack the drywall around your studs.

I would have given it 5 stars but the hex nuts holding the bar to the wall plate were all slightly loose and I didn’t realize it until it was on the wall. I had to take it down and start over.

I ordered this to hang outside, under my 2nd story porch. I installed it on the 2x10 that wraps around the bottom of the porch. It's very sturdy and works an absolute treat. I'm 230 lbs this bar doesn't mind a bit!
